Vicki Reece loves her babies (now in their early 20s), her puppies (whom she thinks she gave birth to) and her hubby. She also loves too much chocolate and really good coffee. When her first son was born, the seeds for Joy of Mom shortly followed. Author, dreamer, doer and admittedly obsessed with things she's passionate about—Vicki brings moms together for the greater good. Through livestreams, or Love Streams as her community's affectionately renamed them, she's found her voice, her passion and her people.
My best piece of parenting advice:
Be present. Always. And in all ways. Time flies. And we can’t get it back. What we can do is take in every precious moment. When we look back, we’ll be so glad we did.
Proudest parenting moment?
Every day. In how my kids live their lives (i.e., being kind and compassionate to others, making really good choices, standing up for what they believe in, following their passions, paying it forward).
Worst parenting moment?
When my oldest son was four, he somehow stepped out of our sight (still don’t know how that happened!) and we couldn’t find him for about 20 minutes. Worst. Time. Ever.

Best thing you’ve learned from your kid?
Something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Hmmm…I’m not sure. I let it all out. Especially during our livestreams. Ha! Maybe I’m too much of an open book…?
Finish the following sentence: I can’t start the day without…
a big hug and kiss from my kids and puppies. But now that they are living on different coasts, I would say a big and wet hug and kiss from my puppies. And gratitude...always gratitude.
